Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of FancyCaptions and form an agreement between you and FancyCaptions when you create an account or buy a subscription.

The service and your account
FancyCaptions provides automated transcription, caption styling, AI-assisted video editing, rendering, and export tools. You are responsible for keeping account access secure and for reviewing transcripts, timings, stock media, edits, and exports before publishing them. Automated results can be incomplete or inaccurate.
Your content
You retain your rights in content you upload. You confirm that you have the permissions needed to upload and process it, including rights relating to images, voices, music, fonts, confidential information, and personal data. You grant FancyCaptions a non-exclusive license to host, copy, process, modify, and transmit that content only as needed to operate, secure, evaluate, and improve the service and to work with the service providers described in the Privacy Notice.
Acceptable use
Do not use FancyCaptions to violate law or third-party rights, distribute malware, interfere with the service, circumvent security or usage controls, access another user's content, or create or distribute unlawful content. We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or third parties.
Plans, billing, and cancellation
Current plan features, limits, prices, billing intervals, and tax treatment are shown on the pricing page and in Stripe Checkout before purchase. Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the selected interval until cancelled. You can manage or cancel a subscription through the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid billing period unless applicable law requires otherwise. Statutory consumer rights, including any applicable withdrawal right, remain unaffected. Contact us promptly at hello@fancycaptions.com for billing or withdrawal requests.
Intellectual property
FancyCaptions software, branding, caption templates, and original assets remain protected by intellectual-property law. Your subscription gives you a limited, non-transferable right to use the service during the applicable plan. Third-party stock media, fonts, and integrations may have separate terms that you must follow.
Availability and liability
We work to keep the service available and secure but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the extent permitted by law, FancyCaptions is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer protection that cannot lawfully be excluded under Belgian or EU law.
Changes and disputes
We may update these terms when the service or legal requirements change. Material changes apply prospectively and will be communicated where required. Belgian law applies without depriving consumers of mandatory protections in their country of residence. Belgian courts have jurisdiction subject to mandatory consumer-jurisdiction rules.
